Main Lounge
The main lounge measures 10 x 8 meters and is entered from the hallway through a beautifully crafted wooden (Kiaat) door. The room is capable of accommodating 20 plus people in comfort.
The chairs are grand and many a visitor after a good meal has been known to fall into an easy slumber in front of the roaring log fire! The artifacts in the room include a rare spherical ball clock, a pre-industrial revolution grandfather clock and a cabinet that formerly contained the sacraments in an Anglican Church.

Ballroom
This room can be entered either from the main lounge or the POSH bar and has a fully sprung floor made from Oregon Pine. Because of its enormous size the current owners decided to create two rooms, a library and an informal lounge.

Posh Bar
Our Posh Bar (Port Out Starboard Home) offers the visitor that convivial atmosphere which distinguishes Lythwood from a traditional Hotel Bar. Not only is it well stocked with some of the finest Scotch Malt Whiskies and French Brandies we also stock a range of South African wines that have earned Lythwood a Platinum award from Diners Club. This is the place to be both before and after dinner. Our barman Skhumbuzo will look after you until you retire for the night!

All our reception rooms convey a natural flowing style that reflects an age when people had the time to indulge in the luxury of an occasion and enjoy the quality of life.
We at Lythwood Lodge want to share that experience with you and at the same time offer a level of personal service that matches the quality of that age.

The Hallway
Visitors entering Lythwood Lodge will pass through the wrought iron gates crafted by V. Abellini (Italian POW) and enter a large area that sets the tone for the other parts of the lodge. The style of the entrance is reinforced by the 2 meter wide corridors to the Luxury and Premier rooms, and the reception rooms.
